PhotoHunt - Theme: Dirty

PS Hunt

PHOTO HUNT THEME: "Dirty"

This house just screams "DIRTY" to me - and no, it is not my house...LOL I found this house in a secluded area of the town, and from the looks of it, it may explode from being overloaded in junk. Look at what is supposed to be the front porch - there is so much junk heaped up all over you could not even move. And if you click on the photo to enlarge it, you can see the upstairs window is obscured by more junk. Tons of weeds and garbage all over. Ickkkkkkyyyy! I shudder to think what the inside of the place looks like, if you could even make it in the front door! So sad to see what could be fixed up as such a cute little cottage, in such disrepair. I have hidden the address of the house to protect the owner's identity. :)

Oh my, why do people not take care of the things God gives them? That is just sad. Great take on the theme.

I guess this house is left for junk. There might be real treasures inside. :)

Oh dear... sad really. There are laws that make people have to clean it up in our city.... it can be dangerous. Good post though.

It is so funny how two people can see different things. I totally get why you posted it for the dirty theme now that you explained it. However, I see a charming old house with lots of wind chimes which I love. I can't see enough of the yard to know what that's like but I imagine a habitat garden with lots of nature's food for birds. If I were to guess about the inside, I would see beautiful old hard wood floors and a house full of antiques. Too funny how the same picture evokes such different images for different people.

It really makes me wonder how some people can live like that! I mean, I love my junk too but this is ridiculous! lol xox

That house does look rather dirty. Lots of junk indeed.

Unfortunately, some people don't care about their belongings. I am sure if the outside looks this bad, then the inside is probably just as bad. Great photo,.... and I am glad it's NOT my house. Have a good weekend.

Heh heh heh...that's not such an uncommon sight here in Arkansas! *LOL*

Oh wow, that certainly looks like a wreck of a house!

Happy Weekend.

Oh my goodness, that is one dirty house. Just looking at it makes me a little bit scairt. (I peeked inside the window, too).

Maybe they don't need the house eh!

Oh heck - is that what they mean by urban decay?

Great pic.

Sadly, I can easily imagine living here. With exception to size, my parents' house is somewhat like this, though not to this extent. My father was raised in poverty, where things that were even SLIGHTLY still usable were kept. And so now, if something has a use, even a small or remote use, it gets stacked or stored or piled or cornered in the house or yard. It makes me feel claustrophobic to visit. :-(

Oh, it really needs cleaning. Pity. I hope no one is living in there.

It's sad when a house is left in such a disarray. Hope the owners can find time to do some major cleaning.

Only the garden looks neglected to me but I can't say the house is dirty, a little messy yes, but that's probably the owner's taste.

I can foresee there are lotsa bugs and insects inside the house, including roaches and rats?

I always feel sorry for the neighbors of places like this...We lived in a nice neighborhood and there was a rundown house with old cars in the yard and junk everywhere. It is against the law, too.

It's such a dirty house and it could be a lovely one with a bit of care... It's a pity some people are so messy!
happy weekend :)

Hehe - yeah some people seems to be collectors of junk and dirt.

Maybe they feel clean compared to all the dirt surrounding them - LOL

found you through Norththreads...now I don't feel so bad about my thrifting addiction. I love your finds, especially the rubber toys. Stop at hollyhocks.typepad.com sometime. I too love "the hunt". Vicki

I can't say that house is dirty -- cluttered, YES but dirty? Don't come to see my place as you might get a similar reaction. I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Come see my dirty photos.
