I went to an Estate sale last week, and happened upon a glorious bunch of vintage hats - they are so beautiful and are in great condition. The first one is made of some type of black woven material, with little white flowers sprinkled in for interest.
This one is all feathers, in brown shades. Another feathered beauty, in black and white! Here is a pink turban in a textured fabric, adorned with a vintage rhinestone pin. Here is another beauty in all blue feathers! And this might be my favorite, it is all covered in vintage flowers and leaves. Aren't these hats adorable? I did not have many hats in my collections before, but I could not pass these up! It was a ready made collection :)
I agree with Sarah... that one really looks like human hair!! Love the black n white one! And the pink one is lovely too! What a fun collection from a time when hats were all the rage! Thanks for sharing such finds!
Oh, these are gorgeous! I wish I had the nerve to wear hats, but I have a ginormous, hard to fit head, and I don't like the way they look on me. I'm glad you found them!
I LOVE Crafting and Creating! I am addicted to vintage collectibles and kitsch - I love to shop at Thrift Stores, Estate Sales, Antique Shops, and Yard Sales, I even haul vintage goodies right in from the curb - I go anywhere that I can find neat vintage items, and I like to see cool stuff that others have found while thrifting too!
My other addiction is crafting and make my own Jewelry Designs. I created "Junk In My Trunk" as a site that I can post pictures of my vintage finds and collectibles, fun stuff that I find along the way, and projects that I create. I welcome others who want to share posts about their finds and goodies too.
My home is shared with 3 feathered kids - a Moluccan Cockatoo, a Goffin Cockatoo, and a Peach Front Conure. They are my feathered babies, and always amuse me with their antics (and mischief!).
I love to laugh, and be silly. Welcome to my eclectic life! Come on in!

I love them! Back when the thrift store was overflowing with vintage goodies I always snatched up the hats. I still have quite a few! :)
These are FANTASTIC hats!! Too bad no one wears beautiful hats like they once did years ago!
In the 50's & early 60's...Ladies used to dress up to go to the "Market" (aka GROCERY STORE!)... :0)

Ok, the second one? Looks just like Jack's hair to me. LOL
I have a little something I picked up for you. Can you shoot me an email with your snail mail address? I couldn't resist it. It called your name.
